We were asked to provide a non-slip wearing surface to a newly constructed suspended steel walkway. This walkway travelled from the ground floor level to the first floor level of Carlton House and due to the design of the garden and the historical heritage of Carlton House they required a natural looking surface.
Due to varying levels within the steel structure, a suitable fast setting mortar layer was installed to provide a flat surface in readiness to receive the final non-slip coating.
The finished surface utilised a blend of natural aggregates, broadcast into resin then coated with a clear waterproof sealer upon completion.
